Hotel Lunasol Playa del Carmen

We chose this hotel for its prime location – just a few blocks from the beach and the bustling city center. The room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a cozy bed. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Jorge, who went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a nice view from our room. The outdoor kitchen was a great feature, although we didn't get a chance to use it.

Nothing it is perfect.

We loved the hotel's location - close to the bustling 5th Avenue, yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The proximity to the ADO terminal and nearby restaurant was also very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with free water and coffee in the morning.

We also loved the peaceful ambiance of the back patio area. the fact that the hotel was off the main drag but still had close access was a huge advantage. the beach club affiliation was also a great resource for us.

Great location near 5th avenue and the beach. Pool and jacuzzi are perfect for kids. Bonus kitchen by the pool is convenient for heating up leftovers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sit-down breakfast at a nearby restaurant is included.

During our stay at Lunasol, we were impressed by the hotel staff's attention to detail. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and hassle-free. One of the staff members even printed off our boarding passes and allowed us to leave our suitcase, saving us a lot of trouble. The hotel had a chilled atmosphere with beautiful vegetation and a lovely pool area. All rooms had balconies, and there was a light on the balcony for sitting out after dark. The breakfast, located just a short walk from the hotel, was delicious and easily accessible.

The only drawback was that the room next to the reception could be noisy, so I would recommend asking for a different room if you are sensitive to noise.
